The Paseo Recoletos was named after the old convent of the Agustinos Recoletos. Built in 1620, located where actually we can find the national library and the Marques of Salamanca palace. This old convent was demolished by Mendizábal in the mid XIX century and old the area start a new development of mid high palaces for high society
The project consist on a full refurbishment and office implementation of one of the palace built during that time, located in the number 5 of the Paseo de Recoletos. Main façade has 18.5m width and it is one of the landmarks of the street.
In the ground floor we can find the reception, were a natural timber box has been integrated into the space, combined with the existing marble floors and the double height ceilings, the natural light combined with the materials chosen create a warm atmosphere to welcome all the visitors
At the second floor we can find the Business Club, the most public zone of the project where the cafeteria is located, all the co-working spaces, meeting rooms and discussion rooms
Discussion rooms are meeting spaces created to maintain social distance during this time, it is a combination of soft seating with meeting tables that create a multifunctional room
All the other floors are designed to maximize the office layout and the flexibility of the interiors, we bring natural light to all the offices as well as natural ventilation
At the top floor we find the private terrace of the building, where an event space is located for different functions
